Yep, it's a photo (I obviously didn't take the pic, but I can explain). Mount the camera to your chest somehow (once I did it with duct tape), use your manual settings to set it for a bit of a longer exposure depending on how much blur you want, turn on your handy 10-second self-timer and go ride. In this case it appears that "jimpanse" also used some fill flash to get the foreground nice and sharp. Very nice results!

This guy's got it right. You can clearly see in some places (around the rider's left hand and foot) that the background wasn't originally this dark. Still a beautiful picture though, and a sweet table!

The composition works when you have a plain background. And if the rider were bright, the sky would be washed out. The exposure is fine! chill...

You're right! I thought something looked funny about it. Still a nice pic, but my props go to the rider instead of the photographer.

Overall I really like this picture. The cropping is unique and means there's no dead space, but I also wish I could see where he's coming from.
